​Classes
Kinsella Irish Dance offers classes to dancers ages 2 all the way to adults.  We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced instruction.  Below is a list of our current classes as well as basic dances learned in each class.

We offer two levels of class, a Beginner Program and an Academy Program.

Beginner Program - This is a great introduction to Irish dance and give families the flexibility to sign up based on their schedule and interest level.  We always have a fun way to end a session whether it be a parade, dance party or grand recital. 

Tippy Toes  Boys and Girls ages 2-4 learning the basics of rhythm, body movement and following directions in class.  Dancers work on counting, following in a line, basic stretching and the first step for the Irish Jig.  The 45 minute class is made up of 30 minutes of dance instruction and 15 minutes of craft and art time in our Tippy Toes classroom.  This class is a class for both boys and girls.

Beginner Girls and Boys - Girls and boys ages 4 and older.  Dancers continue to learn about the basics of Irish dance including a focus on foot exercises, stretching and rhythm.  Dancers will learn steps 1,2, and 3 of the Irish Jig as well as Reel exercises. 

​​Academy Program - Once dancers have reached the age of 5 and have completed at least one beginner session, we offer them the opportunity to join our Academy Program.  These are monthly classes that take dancers deeper into Irish dance.

Group 1 - Dancers learn the following dances:
Beginner Light Jig: Steps 1, 2, 3 and 4
Beginner Reel: Steps 1 and 2
Slip Jig (Girls Only): Exercises
Traditional Hornpipe: Step 1

Group 2 - Dancers learn the following dances:
Intermediate Light Jig: Steps 5 and 6
Intermediate Reel: Exercises and Step 1
Slip Jig (Girls Only): Steps 1 and 2
Traditional Hornpipe: Steps 1 and 2
St. Patrick's Day - Step
Ceili Teams

Group 3 - Dancers learn the following dances:
Advanced Light Jig: Steps 7 and 8
Intermediate Reel: Steps 1 and 2
Intermediate Slip Jig (Girls Only) - Steps 1 and 2
St. Patrick's Day: Step and Set
Intermediate Treble Jig: Steps 1 and 2

Oireachtas Prep - Dancers learn the following dances:
Advanced Reel: Steps 1, 2 and 3
Advanced Slip Jig: Steps 1,2 and 3
Advanced Hornpipe: Steps 1,2 and 3
Advanced Treble Jig: Steps 1,2 and 3
Job of Journeywork: Step and Set
Treble Reel
Ceili Teams

PC/C - Dancers learn the following dances:
Advanced Reel: Steps 1, 2 and 3
Advanced Slip Jig: Steps 1,2 and 3
Advanced Hornpipe: Steps 1,2 and 3

Non-traditional Set

O21 - Dancers learn the following dances:

Session Schedule for 2017

Milwaukee Fall Beginner Session:
September 5 - November 7, 2017

Beginners: Dancers ages 4 and older
Dancers are introduced to the art of Irish dance, music and culture in a fun learning environment.  Dancers will use their fine and gross motor skills to learn the first and second step of the Irish Jig. 
Cost is $125
Tuesdays, 5:00-5:45pm

Tippy Toes and Parents: Dancers ages 2-4
Our littlest dances and their parents learn Irish dance basics.  Sometimes young dancers are hesitant to leave their parents, and so we have developed a program that is fun and interactive for both dancer and their adult!   Class consists of 30 minutes of instruction and 15 minutes of storytime and craft.
Cost is $125
Tuesdays, 4:30-5:15pm

Fox Cities Beginner Spring Session

Dancers are introduced to the art of Irish dance, music and culture in a fun learning environment.  Dancers will use their fine and gross motor skills to learn the first and second step of the Irish Jig. 
Cost is $125
